Getting started

Install Polaris, deploy the first satellite and see your first results.

The order that works:

  1. Read Concepts once — ten minutes that make every other page shorter.
  2. Install Polaris with Docker Compose and run the setup wizard.
  3. Deploy a satellite on a machine that looks at your systems from where you care about.
  4. First steps: add targets, watch the first scan arrive, set up notifications.
  5. Optional: serve this documentation next to Polaris, so the help links in Polaris work.
